Covey Center Information

- Primarily a rental facility. Open and available for community groups, dance studios, theater companies and visual artists to perform and display their work.
- Named after Sandra M. Covey, philanthropist and lover of the arts.
- Part of the Parks & Recreation department within the city.
- A producer also! We produce 5 Mayor’s Series Events, 5 theater productions a year and several classes including Middle Eastern Dance and A Cappella Music.

Art Galleries in the Covey Center
The Covey Center houses three Art Galleries: the Eccles and Secure Galleries on the main level and one on the upper level.
- Galleries are free to the public.
Displays and gallerias are constantly changing with a wide variety of items including photography, paintings, sculptures, and modern art.

Utah Metropolitan Ballet, the premiere ballet company of Utah County, was founded in 1980 by Jacqueline P. Colledge. What began with only 6 students has grown into Utah Valley’s only professional ballet company with dancers employed from across the globe as well as locally.
The company has toured extensively in China, Austria and throughout the United States, as well as performing at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. UMB has also received multiple national and international awards.
